Busy, busy day today...it all started with my youngest son, Jeff, graduating from Wayne State University with a degree in Education. He has worked so hard over the past 5 years..but now the real work begins...putting out those resumes and hopefully getting a full time teaching job!
I have been so busy at work and then at home. Seems there are not enough hours in the day! I haven't really hooked or stitched too much. I don't think there will be too much time to do any of that before the holidays. I have a bedroom full of gifts to be wrapped...why oh why...do I wait! Every year I promise myself I will wrap as I buy...but it never happens! I have about half of my house decorated and I really don't think I am going to do much more...terrible, isn't it?? I just don't have the ambition to do it all this year..oh well....less to take down and pack away!
So glad to see you yesterday, sorry it was so busy and we didn't get much of a chance to visit. I had to laugh to myself. I looked out our front door and saw your husband pushing your grandson down the street in the sled. Wish I could have taken a picture! Dawn
ReplyDeleteYAY, I can read your post!! I think it's cuz you changed your background color. Been thinking about you and figured you've been very busy. I am behind in my gift buying AND wrapping! Did get the decorating done tho. Take care Bobbie. Hugs, Lori
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right! Less to take down and put away which is worse than putting it up!
ReplyDeleteBobbie ~
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jeff and congrats to you for raising such a fine son :)
I still need to get one more piece hooked before Christmas. Argh! It always sneaks up on me. I decorated a bit less this year but still did too much...lol! I still have many gifts to buy. If I was closer, I'd help you wrap. That's something I don't mind as long as I don't wait until the last minute.
Pug hugs :)
Lauren
Thank you for all of your kind comments! Dawn..my grandson loves that sled and my DH loves pushing him in it. We did the whole length of the town both side of the street with that little sled!
ReplyDeleteLori...I am so glad you can read my posts...not that they are very interesting..but it is very frustrating when you can't read whatever is written.
Marley...I just don't have it in me this year for all the hoop-la. I usually do, but not this year. I love all of your stitchings!
Lauren...I'll come down and shop for you and bring my gifts for you to wrap ;-)...I think that is a fair trade between friends!
Hello Bobbie ~
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your son on such a fine accomplishment...Bravo!
It sounds as though your home has become a Santa's workshop. I feel certain that your decorations, presents, and wrappings shall be ever so lovely.
Wishing you and yours a holiday filled with peace, love, and joy!
Warmly,
Judy
Congrats to your son! It's so nice to see a young man get into the teaching profession! We need more good men in our schools! I'm going to try to put up the tree today. We are running out of time for stuff, though, aren't we?
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Jeff! Decorate just as much as makes you feel the happiness of the season... no more, no less... enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect time to be Graduating. Congratulatioans to Jeff. You must be so proud. Saying a prayer for him that the right job will come along and soon!
ReplyDeleteI went easy on the decorations too. Less to put away like you said :).
Congrats to your son! He isn't only cute... he is smart too! You gotta be one proud Momma!! :-)
