I've had such a fun couple of days....last Friday, my friend Wendy & I headed down to Ohio to visit Sandra Nolan, of the Old Grainary in Curtice OH. I've been shopping at her shop for over 20 years & have a wonderful friendship with Sandy. But this fall will be her last at the old barn on Rt 2. She is closing up shop at her current location but reopening a brand new shop, in a newly built barn, on her property. I can hardly wait! If you've ever been to her shop...you know what a wonderful shop owner she is! Everything is to perfection!
I purchased this beautiful game rack from her along with the rather unique bread board as seen in the picture below. Wendy was able to find some really cool primitive pieces for her home as well. I'll miss her old barn shop but can't wait to see what she and her husband, Randy, will do with the new one!!
My old wagon I purchased at the Holly Show...
Yesterday, Dave & I decided to go for a ride & stop at an antique mall that I usually never find anything...but yesterday proved to be different...I picked up this early pantry box that is in perfect condition & this 1800's sampler...I can't wait to get the sampler framed!
A little stitching? Very little....I stitched up this little sampler for a friend who's birthday is in two days. She says her dream is to have a log cabin in the woods...so in my "uncounted cross stitch" style, I stitched her up one!
Tomorrow, the Holly Hookers are going to see Downton Abbey....and we are all excited!!! My husband had already told me that he really didn't care to see it...so off we all go! Plus...we'll stop for lunch after the show...going to be a fun day!
Next week at this time, I 'll be getting ready to head down to Branson MO....we've never been so we are looking forward to it! I've heard it's a pretty cool place...so we'll see. Have a wonderful week & as always, thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my blog!!
