MOVING ALONG...

Yay...I'm so happy our kitchen remodel is coming along very nicely and now that the plaster guy came out (he was the big hold up), the main contractors are working like madmen!  The flooring is installed and my cabinets were delivered and they will be putting most of them in today.    They figure another two weeks and they'll be done...YIPPEE!!! 

I received such a happy UPS delivery yesterday...my two samplers that traveled all the way back from Fairfax VA after being framed by Total Framing.  I just love the frames and museum glass makes all the difference in the world! It's a little costly, but so worth it. 

I'll be giving this one to my daughter tomorrow....

My flooring was installed yesterday and completed this morning.  I had to match as close as possible to my living room floor (of course, they no longer make that one).  It's getting harder and harder to find solid hardwood 3/4 inch thickness.  Everything is engineered flooring with plastic or resin.  But I'm glad I stuck it out .....you really can't tell the difference between the old floor and the new.

This is  where the serving area was...now I just have one large room.

And then my cabinets...white...nothing fancy or unique, but that's what I wanted.   

So...It really hasn't been too bad...the first week was rough waiting for some of the workers, but now it seems to be smooth sailing...at least I hope!  

I hope you're all having a good week...we're supposed to have a few little visitors from South Carolina this weekend...but that may be put on hold for the time being...
