I'M IN THE RED....

Happy October!!  So looking forward to cooler temps!  Maybe I'll even feel inclined to buy a pumpkin or two!!

Oh my gosh...I go from one extreme to the other...stitching in blues, stitching in browns, & now stitching in reds....I simple love this book by Blackbird Designs, "Ooh La La"!  It's one of my all time favorites!  Most of the designs are from antique French samplers...and stitched in...you guessed it...RED!!

This is the Loiuse Ulmer sampler that I finished in June....easy peasy stitching, with an early look...stitched on 28 count linen, Wren, by Picture This Plus, using DMC 221.  I framed it using a wooden frame I found at the Salvation Army...

Now....I've been stitching Deux Oiseaux....I'm using 28 count, Ale, by PTP, also using DMC 3777.  This linen is a little darker than  Wren... it is beautiful linen!

I make tags with the project booklet and name, along with the type of linen and floss I use.  When I'm done...I tape the tag in my cross stitch journal.

Hoping to start this one in early 2020...It's Sidonie's Petit Chien...I'll use 28 count in either 3777 or 221.  These are small samplers, and can be stitched on any size fabric, including Aida.  They are a great way for a beginner to start cross stitching...

Have a great week....we are heading down to Branson MO this weekend and I can hardly wait...we haven't had a vacation, just the two of us for five years...so it should be fun!   But our first stop will be in Wilmington OH to go to the Ohio Country Antique show.... I don't know if I'm more excited to go to the show or to go to Branson for a week!....Thank you for reading my blog and commenting...I really do appreciate it!!!
