So thankful that we have had so much beautiful weather here in southeastern Michigan. It's been hot, but today is just gorgeous....perfect for working in the yard. I worked all day yesterday in the front hauling topsoil, digging up shrubs, etc. I'm getting ready to redesign my front...I'm just waiting for a couple of garden decor items to arrive....anyway...I've been putzing a little in the house. Getting ready for July....but they're going to start gutting the kitchen and dining room this week, so I'm not sure why I'm doing this??? Oh well...my house will be a complete disaster for about 6 weeks...guess we'll have to order out and make coffee in the bathroom..LOL!!
A small sampler by Blackbird Designs from their re-release of "In Friendship's Way". One of my favorite BBD books!
It's stitched on 28 count Velum, by Picture This Plus, using most of the called for over dyed floss. I love their linen, but I think in the dying process the fabric shrinks...so it's more like a 32 count linen. I had to change a couple of floss because the colors were just too bright for me.
That's it for now...I hope the next time I blog, I'll have my front garden done and will be able to show you. I'm trying my hand at some carpet roses....so we'll see!! Have a great day!
You are being productive! Garden work is never done.
ReplyDeleteI love the sampler you are working on...and your patriotic stitcheries are perfect for the summer.
The weather here in Ohio today was wonderful, but we need rain!!! It is way to early to be this dry.
The Sampler is pretty, as are all of your Patriotic stitches.
