COLLECTING...

Seems like I'm always finding new things to collect...and then I become obsessed...Brown transferware has always been a favorite of mine...it has been used and has endured the test of time...I have several pieces & will always grab a new one to sit in my cupboard...

White ironstone has been a staple in my decor for over thirty years...I had quite a large collection, but then have parted with some over the years.  I use my pieces when having family gatherings...especially at Thanksgiving & Christmas...

Copper....my new obsession....but it has to be vintage with tin, tarnished linings...and it has to be well worn...I started gathering copper when we finally decided to remodel the kitchen.  I especially love French or Italian pieces.

These marmalade jars/crocks are just the sweetest!  They are from England, in the mid to late1800's.  Apparently, most of these jars were buried as garbage (no trash hills back in those days, and no garbage pickup) and found in the early 1900's.  Thankfully, they were saved...

I'm really loving my sunflowers!  It's the first time I planted them from seed & they are doing wonderfully well!  And the zinnias are doing well too....I also planted them from seed & I will do it again next year, as well.  Don't mind the yellow grass...we haven't had a good rain in days!

It's a bit cooler this morning in Michigan...I actually have the AC turned off....at least for a while. I would love to open the windows for fresh air...but once again, the humidity is miserable!!   I hope you all have a wonderful day & I thank you for taking time to read my blog.  I appreciate your comments!!
