IT'S ALL DONE...ALMOST....

Kitchen remodel is just about done...waiting for two panels for our island and then waiting for our Amish made table and chairs.  Here are some pictures of the new kitchen in our home.  I'm sorry if this is a repeat for some of you that are on FB.  I posted them yesterday..The before of our kitchen is about three or four posts back.  Here goes: 

This is the opening from the living room...it was a small area with a serving area and a long wall...both removed.

This space behind the chair, was a large serving area with a wall...it's gone now!

Of course, this wall has already been redecorated with some vintage copper pieces..and the sign removed.

We didn't get any new appliances..these are getting old but they still look fairly good and are in good working conditon...

Waiting for the decorative panels for the front of the island...two sets were sent and both sets were cracked..thank you UPS..

The tile guy did an awesome job with this window...it was kind of ugly with peeling  plaster...I always had to have a swag curtain up to hide it, but he tiled all around the inside....so no more curtain!

I love having the drawers instead of cupboards!

Whew...I almost sold this large cupboard...I'm so happy I decided to keep it!

The whole remodel or gut job, took six weeks.  I can't say enough about the company.  The two young men who did the most work, were phenomenal!  I know I pestered asked them to do quite a few extra little things (extra outlets, extra light switches, replacing an old, cruddy door jam...etc)& they did it all without question.  Plus, they were super nice....and young! 

I'm so disappointed that the Holly Early Homestead Show was cancelled for September...I have a basement full of stuff just ready to be sold!!  I think 2020 should just be cancelled!!  We're hoping for the December show to still go on, but you just never know...such a weird time in our lives.  I told my grand daughter that one day, she will be able to tell her children how she managed to "survive" the pandemic....she told me she does NOT want to remember any of this...she just wants to go to school!!  Have a great week!!
