On a brighter note..look at this gorgeous orchid of my moms that my daughter bought her a few years ago....it blooms through out the year...so lovely...
My stitching and hooking have really taken a back seat since before Christmas. This design, is being stitched for a friend. I'm hoping to get this done in a couple of weeks so I can finish stitching a sampler that I started in the fall. It's a design called "TheWitch, The Crow, and The Pumpkin" by Barbara Ana. The fabric is evenweave 28 count that I coffee dyed. I'm using called for colors in DMC.
I'll be busy this week getting ready for the annual Sauder Village Weekend Rug Hooking Retreat starting onThursday. I have no idea what I'm going to be bringing to hook since I haven't hooked in forever...but it is such a fun and inspirational weekend....hopefully, the weather will improve!
Have a great Sunday and thank you for your comments!!
Karma's a bitch...lol! Glad you made it home safely. (BTW...maybe I'm dense but I don't get the Elvis comment.)
ReplyDeleteThat orchid is beautiful and I'm sure especially welcome in dreary January. I take it your mom is doing well?
Sauder here we come 😊😊😊
Lovely Orchids, mine are blooming also ! Perfect to chase away this cold, cold weather.

Have fun at the hook in. Lovely witchy stitchery! Been snowing all day. Not fun driving I-94 in the snow belt area. Janice
ReplyDeleteOh, wow. Glad you got home safe and aren’t traveling under the current Winter Weather Advisories. The hook-in sounds divine, and I don’t even hook rugs. . . yet. Judy
