STOP BUYING & START STITCHING!!!!

That's my battle cry for the month.  In March, I went a bit crazy with all the new stitching designs from the Nashville Market.  Watching FlossTube everyday didn't help either.....Now with Stitch Maynia starting in a few days...I've got to get my **** together!!!  Here's my haul these past few weeks:

I love, like everyone else in the cross stitch world, Blackbird Designs . I have just about everyone of their books.   Their designs are usually taken from antique samplers that they have acquired and their color choices are just gorgeous!  The first booklet is a journal for keeping track of my stitching projects.

Next, are a variety of designs.   I've stitched a couple of them...lots more to do!

And beautiful linens mostly 32 count but one is a 20 count...I love the large count when stitching a primitive type sampler.

This is a design from Little House Needleworks called, The Traveling Stitcher.  It's really a sweet one.  I bought this fabric at Hobby Lobby.  It's their version of evenweave and I'm really enjoying stitching on it.  I over dyed it with a strong mix of coffee and then baked it for about 20 at 200 degrees.  I really like the way it turned out.  It's much more mottled in person.

This is a graph that I'm charting out for a birth sampler for my youngest grandchild....I sure wish they would pick shorter names...LOL!  I'll be stitching it on 28 count evenweave & starting it in May.

Two of my finishes...Jane Austen sampler...I did not add the rows of alphabets at the bottom...I got tired of stitching with blue.... The design is from The Modern Folk Artist who is on Etsy.  He is a wonderful designer and his patterns download instantly.

This next one is The Liberty House by Little House Needleworks. It was a fun one to stitch!!  Now, I'm off to buy frames for both of them...Both of these samplers were stitched o 32 count.

Hubs and I went antiquing this past week and I found some wonderful, early blue fabric and this beautiful litte hand carved needle holder.  I also found the sweetest little pincushion...really a tiny one...but it was over $100!!  So..needless to say...I passed on that one!

I can't believe that Sunday is Easter..I guess because it's been so blasted cold and rainy up here...but Sunday is supposed to be very nice...so I hope it is...we've got eggs to hide in the yard (plastic ones fill with nickels, dimes and quarters) for the grandkids!

Have a safe & blessed Easter.  Hope your weather is good...thank you for your comments.  I had to start moderating them because I was getting some really weird comments...take care
