A LITTLE FALL AROUND THE HOUSE..

Good morning!  It's a hot one today!  I'll be so glad when the cooler temps hit this weekend...it'll be nice to have the windows open!!  So...I thought I would share a little fall decorating today...I thought I had bins and bins of fall decor, but actually I didn't.  What I did have was three full bins of Halloween stuff, that I no longer put out..grungy pumpkins, witches, etc.  They're cute, but I haven't used them in a couple of years.  So, just decorating with what I have..with the exception of this fine young lady....saw her at an antique store a few days ago and I just had to bring her home with me.  It's a little picture, but very sweet...

A little vignette on the fireplace hearth.  I really dislike the black opening, so I'm always trying to come up with ideas to cover it....except in winter...because we use it alot...it's a wood burning fireplace.

The wall I was having issues with....this is just plain and simple....

My entryway...

I bought this candle at Hobby Lobby...It was 40% off and boy does it smell good!!  Have you noticed that the Yankee Candles do not have the fragrance they used to?  My favorite was Home Sweet Home.....now, I could burn it for hours and never smell the nice cinnamony scent it had years ago...maybe its just me & my old sniffer....Whatever it is...I don't think they are the same quality & they almost doubled in price!

Anyway...have a great evening...thank you so much for reading my blog...stay safe and mask up!!

  1. Oh what fun. I haven't even thought about autumn yet. My favorite is "Home Sweet Home" too :-) Did you know that you can become "immune" to scents? Like when you don't even smell your perfume any more sorta thing. I keep my HSH candle upstairs where I only go once in a while so I catch a whiff when I walk by it. The price though ~ I agree!

  2. Prices of candles are terribly high aren't they? Tried a few new companies and not real happy. Have quite a few BBW from sales with coupons. Don't mind 1/2 price and extra 20 off if I don't like them.

  7. Hi Bobbie,
Love your new sweet little lady and she looks so pretty with the greens in your display!!! Love all of your arrangements and I especially like how your styled your fireplace opening!!! It all looks good and very welcoming!!! I used to love A Cheerful Giver candles and Juicy Apple was my favorite!! Not even sure they are still around!! I love candles but with it being so hot here, it just doesn't feel right to burn a candle when it is 114 outside!!! Can't wait for fall!!!
    Enjoy your weekend!!
    Heart Hugs~
